Forest Man: The Story Behind Ugom TV's Unfinished Film
Forest Man is a film project written and directed by Daphigey Godday and produced by Ugom TV. The project began in May 2025, with production commencing shortly after the story and characters were developed.
The film was conceived as a story centered on an ancient, uncivilized man whose life is shaped by loss, survival, and revenge. After the death of his mother, the Forest Man becomes determined to seek revenge, setting him on a path filled with conflict and uncertainty.
The Story
At the center of Forest Man is a man living in an ancient and uncivilized environment, far removed from modern society. His life changes dramatically after his mother dies.
Driven by grief and anger, he seeks revenge for her death. His journey brings him into contact with other characters and creates a series of events that form the foundation of the film's story.
The project was designed to explore an ancient setting while combining drama, conflict, mystery, and the personal struggle of a man seeking justice—or revenge—for someone he loved.
Production
Production of Forest Man started in May 2025 under Ugom TV. The team began filming the first episode, but the production later encountered challenges that made it impossible to continue at the time.
As a result, production was stopped before the first episode could be completed. Although the film remains unfinished, footage from the first episode was successfully captured and remains part of the project's history.
The production stoppage does not erase the work that went into the project. Forest Man remains one of the film concepts developed during Ugom TV's creative journey.
Characters
The story features several characters, including:
-
- Zuaima
- Ezatuatua
- Ekulubo
- Ukiom
- And others
Each character was created to contribute to the story and the world surrounding the Forest Man.
An Unfinished Chapter
Although Forest Man was never completed, the project represents an early creative effort to produce a film with an ancient setting and a revenge-driven storyline.
The first episode remains incomplete, and the production is currently considered unfinished. Whether the project will continue in the future remains open.
For Ugom TV, Forest Man is part of its archive of original creative projects and a record of the filmmaking work undertaken by its team.
